Rangers eased into the semi-finals of the Scottish Cup as they beat Dundee 4-0 at Ibrox. Harry Forrester opened the scoring for the Championship leaders after just 13 seconds before goals from Jason Holt and Andy Halliday in the early stages of the second half and a late strike from Lee Wallace secured victory on a day Dundee will wish to forget. Reaction from Ibrox after Rangers beat Dundee 4-0 The home side made a brilliant start when Kevin Holt was dispossessed by Forrester and he strode forward to blast a shot from 15 yards which beat Scott Bain at his near post. Bain was more alert in dealing with a James Tavernier shot at his near post from six yards, but from the resulting short corner Forrester sent a driven ball into the six-yard box which spun off Paul McGinn and off the base of the post. Rangers players celebrate their third goal against Dundee Dundee responded to that scare four minutes later when Greg Stewart turned inside from the right flank and squared the ball to Gary Harkins who placed his low shot beyond the diving Wes Foderingham and a foot wide of the target.Bain was again called into action to deal with a Tavernier free-kick after Halliday was fouled 25 yards from goal, and two minutes later the Dundee keeper held a Kenny Miller drive from just outside the penalty area.Dundee were lively in attack when they did manage to venture forward, with Stewart in particular looking capable of causing problems, but there was no end product, and while Paul McGowan hit the target from 22 yards Foderingham made a comfortable save. Jason Holt doubles the lead for Rangers just after half-time at Ibrox Rangers had dominated the first half but the visitors could have levelled just before the break when Kane Hemmings, who was unmarked inside the six-yard box, failed to connect with a Harkins header at a Dundee corner. But Rangers doubled their lead two minutes after the break as they opened up the Premiership side with an excellent exchange of passes involving Forrester, Barrie McKay and Miller to set up Holt to nod over the line from three yards.Dundees collapse was complete seven minutes later when Hallidays free-kick went through the wall and beat Bain at his right side, despite the stopper getting a hand on the ball. Andy Halliday scores the third goal for Rangers against Dundee Bain did atone within three minutes as he spread himself to deny Wallace as he raced into the box on to a Miller flick.Rob Kiernan, who had blocked a goal-bound shot from Hemmings on 51 minutes, repeated the task to deny the Dundee striker 20 minutes from time.McGowan then got the ball caught under his feet six yards from goal as he latched on to a chip from Nick Ross, and the advancing Foderingham took the ball off his toe, but it was too little too late from the Dark Blues.Wallace added the fourth in the dying minutes as he walked into the Dundee penalty area with embarrassing ease and slipped the ball under Bain to seal a comfortable victory. Of all the things that have changed for Washington State in the past few weeks none can match the transformation of the Cougars offense. This is still home of the Air Raid offense with Luke Falk at the helm. But its the ground attack thats been the dominant component over the past two weeks. What in the name of Mike Leach is going on here?Im a big fan of balance, Washington State wide receiver Gabe Marks said. At this point in my career I realize what it can do for you. I like it.The Cougars look to continue that newfound balance on Saturday night hosting UCLA. Washington State (3-2, 2-0 Pac-12) is looking for a fourth straight winBehind the three-pronged attack of Jamal Morrow, Gerard Wicks and James Williams, the Cougars have rushed for more than 100 yards as a team in three straight games. And while the three games of ground success represent a small sample size, its the competition it came against that helps validate the evolving offense.Washington State rushed for 228 yards against Idaho, followed up with 280 yards rushing against Oregon and had 101 yards on the ground in last weeks 42-16 rout of Stanford. You have to be able to run the ball a little bit when you want to throw it. You have to be able to make people respect the run in order to open things up in the pass game, UCLA coach Jim Mora said. It doesnt surprise us. They count the box and if a run is there, Falk is a smart guy and he executes a run. But they do like to throw it. We do know they like to throw it.UCLAs biggest question mark is whether quarterback Josh Rosen will be able to play after getting beat up in last weeks loss to Arizona State. Mora was evasive about Rosens status, his most declarative statement being if Rosen is able to play, he will, and if he isnt, he wont.Despite suffering leg and shoulder injuries against the Sun Devils, Rosen threw for a career-high 400 yards in the loss. But his performance was offset by the Bruins (3-3, 1-2) rushing for minus-1 net yards and committing four turnovers. If Rosen cant go, the Bruins would likely turn to senior Mike Fafaul.Big fork in the road for us right now. It can go one of two ways, UCLA center Scott Quessenberry said. We can start turning on each other as a team or we can really come together and start rattling off wins.Other things to watch as the Bruins visit the Cougars for the first time since 2012:RUNNING BRUINS: Its hard to imagine Washington State having a better running attack than UCLA, but the Bruins run game has been non-existent the last four games. UCLA had 50 yards rushing against BYU; 77 vs. Stanford; 125 against Arizona but hit bottom last week against Arizona State with minus-1 net yards. The Bruins are averaging just 2.9 yards per rush.Anytime you cant run the ball you really make life hard for yourself offensively because you cant get yourself into situations where there are easy third-down completions or you get a team on their heels, Mora said.ON THE MARK(S): Marks is inching closer to the Pac-12 record for career receptions. Marks had five catches and his 30th career touchdown grab last week against Stanford. Marks now has 261 career receptions, 33 behind Nelson Spruce for the most in conference history. One of Marks most important catches came last year against UCLA on a 21-yard TD grab with 3 seconds left that gave the Cougars a 31-27 win.AIR DEFENSE: Falk is set to take on the best pass defense hes seen thus far this season.UCLAs pass defense is allowing just a 48.8 percent completion rate. Its the best mark in the Pac-12 and the Bruins rank seventh nationally in pass efficiency defense. But UCLA has yet to face a passing game anywhere close to the explosiveness of Washington States: the Cougars are averaging 381 yards per game.CRACKING 24: UCLA has yet to allow a team to score more than 24 points in regulation this season. Keeping that streak going means slowing down a Washington State offense that has topped 24 points in 16 of the past 18 games. WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. -- Victories at Wake Forest in recent years have been few and -- for the offense, anyway -- forgettable. The Demon Deacons started the season with another one of those on Thursday night.Kendall Hinton ran for a short early touchdown and Wake Forest overcame some offensive struggles and held on for a season-opening 7-3 victory over Tulane. It brought to mind that 6-3, double overtime victory over Virginia Tech in 2014. Or the 3-0 win at Boston College last year. The result is, it looks a lot like the other games weve won here, Wake Forest coach Dave Clawson said. Were 1-0, were excited, theres a lot to teach off of, but clearly, we have to be a lot more productive on offense. That was certainly the disappointment of the night. But again, Id rather be coaching those mistakes after being 1-0.Nothing came easy for the Demon Deacons (1-0) against a Tulane team playing its first game under new coach Willie Fritz and breaking in his run-heavy offense that produced the Bowl Subdivisions top rushing team in each of his two seasons at Georgia Southern.Wake Forest managed just 175 total yards -- 59 yards and three first downs in the second half -- yet won a matchup of teams coming off consecutive 3-9 seasons.Obviously, on offense, we werent as productive as we need to be, Clawson said.Tulane (0-1) finished with 280 total yards for the game and held a nearly 10-minute advantage in time of possession. The defense was phenomenal, man, quarterback Glen Cuiellette said. They kept us in the game. The only touchdown came on Hintons 1-yard run on the third play of the second quarter.Andrew DiRocco capped Tulanes opening drive with a 41-yard field goal, but had a 43-yarder blocked early in the fourth quarter. That loomed large late because Tulane came up empty on its final two possessions: The Green Wave were stopped inside the Wake Forest red zone with 4:22 left, and got the ball back before Julian Jones stripped Cuiellette on fourth down near midfield with 50 seconds left.TAKEAWAYSTULANE: The Green Wave rode their new option game as hard as expected and out of a range of formations, including out of an I in the shotgun. Tulane had 47 carries to 23 pass attempts, with none of the four running backs in the rotation carrying it more than seven times, while Cuiellette added 54 yards rushing in his first college start at QB.I felt comfortable -- honestly, people were texting me, calling me, `Are you nervous, are you good? My mom was like, `Are you OK? Cuiellette said. Overall, I felt fine. I wasnt really nervous. I was just ready to just play and show people what I could do because its been so long. I was just ready to lead these guys.WAKE FOREST: Its only one game, but there are already some huge questions about the offense. To put the Demon Deacons yardage numbers in perspective, they averaged 216.3 yards in 2014 -- when they ranked last in the Bowl Subdivision in total offense. The leading passer -- John Wolford -- was 9 of 17 for just 79 yards, while the leading rusher -- Hinton, his backup -- managed just 24 yards. Its going to be worth watching how Clawson handles his quarterbacks the rest of the year. Wolford started but both he and Hinton played, just as Clawson said they would, with the pocket-passing Wolford even lining up at receiver once while Hinton took the snap. But little seemed to work. They were playing a lot of man coverage and a lot of blitz, and when you do that, youve got to make plays on the outside, Clawson said. I think were really improved at receiver, but we didnt make those plays today. ... (Tulane) won the one-on-ones against our receivers today.KEY NUMBERSWake Forest ran just 26 plays in the second half -- and two of those were kneels by Wolford to end the game. ... The Demon Deacons didnt have a play cover more than 16 yards -- a pass by Wolford to Matt Colburn in the first quarter.UP NEXTTULANE: The Green Wave return home to take on Southern, a Championship Subdivision school from just up Interstate 10 in Baton Rouge.WAKE FOREST: The Demon Deacons jump into Atlantic Coast Conference play when they visit instate rival Duke, which they havent beaten since 2011, in their league opener.---Follow Joedy McCreary at http://twitter.com/joedyap. Alastair Cook has kissed a few frogs in his search to find a new opening partner, but will now be hoping that either Haseeb Hameed or Ben Duckett turns out to be his prince. If all goes to plan, one of them will become his 10th opening partner since the retirement of Andrew Strauss (at the end of the 2012 season) when the first Test against Bangladesh starts in Chittagong on October 20.They are far from like-for-like selections. While Hameed is a fairly classical looking player - he is no blocker, but he has a solid defence and pleasing armoury of conventional strokes - Duckett is a bold choice in the modern sense that he seems naturally inclined to attack and has every shot in the book, as well as several that are not. While he has scored his 1,338 Championship runs this season at a strike-rate of 79.45 - a rate that, not so long ago, was considered respectable in List A cricket - Hameed has scored his 1,154 at a strike-rate of 39.33. Hameed, however, has been opening in Division One, while Duckett has been opening in Division Two.Duckett will have the first opportunity to impress. He is expected to open in the ODI series that precedes the two Tests and it is possible that he will convince the management in those games that he has the character as well as the skills to win selection for the Test side. James Whitaker, the national selector, is clearly a huge admirer, referring to Duckett as a special player and a point-of-difference player. Not since the elevation of Joe Root as a debutant been spoken of in such terms. After the ODI series, the pair will go head to head in the red-ball warm-up games. With Cook absent on paternity leave, they will open in both the two-day warm-up games that precede the Tests, and though the captain is expected to return in time for the first Test, there has to be a possibility that Duckett and Hameed will open together; the first pair of debutant openers for England since 1937 when Jim Parks senior and Len Hutton did so against New Zealand at Lords. While it has been presumed that Hameed is in pole position to open - testament to his incredible ascent, really, given his age and lack of first-class experience - it may prove that Duckett is more Trevor Bayliss type of player. Bayliss has gone on the record previously as stating his preference for quick-scoring players and, while he has retracted that a little, he may be hesitant at positioning Cook and Hameed together at the top of the order. While Cook has certainly increased his scoring range and Hameed is not the out-right blocker some suggest, it is not impossible to envisage a scenario where progress becomes sluggish with the two of them together. Whether that should matter is another point entirely.Duckett, speaking shortly after his selection was announced, promised to continue to play his natural, positive game and suggested his aptitude against spin bowling might play to his advantage.I do play aggressively in first-class cricket and that has worked for me at the minute, he said. But there is plenty for me to learn in the Test game.Im still learning with the red ball stuff and havent nailed my game in that format just yet. To watch the likes of Cook out in Bangladesh it will be amazing for me to learn a few things. One thing I do have is my ability to play against spin. I think in Bangladesh they could bowl spin first-change so that is something Id be confident in facing and if I was given a chance then Ill try and be as positive as I can be and, fingers crossed, it pays off.I played hockey at school so the sweeps, reverse sweeps and quick hands might have come from that. The main thing about playing spin is that a spinner wants to bowl six balls in the same spot and you could just block it. But my main thing is about putting them under as much pressure as I can and whoever that guy is bowling at me, whether it is Shane Warne or whoever, I just have to put them under as much pressure as I can.If you can find ways of scoring then theyll be on the back foot straight away.Hameeds skills are, perhaps, not as obvious, but they are substantial nevertheless. Blessed with an apparently unflappable technique, he has made a huge impression at Lancashire in recent months. Not only is he their leading run-scorer in the Championship season - an astonishing achievement for a teenager - but he has become the youngest man to be capped by the club since World War Two. He has, as Whitaker put it, run-scoring in his DNA.We think hes got loads of technical qualities, Whitaker said. He has a really good, solid technique and a great temperament. Were excited. Im sure hell bring lots of quality to the team. Hes passed every test so far in his young life, and hes really hungry for success. He plays the ball late. Hes got good discipline and defence as well. But make no mistake, hes got the shots. Weve seen him take on some good-quality county bowling, with cuts and pulls. Hes got the shots in the locker; hes just very shrewd as to when he uses them.Whitaker also confirmed that a decision had been made to drop Hales from the Test squad before it became apparent that he was unwilling to tour Bangladesh. While he is likely to return for the ODI series in India - there has been no date set for when the India squads will be named, but it is expected to be a 16-man Test squad - he will not be considered for the Test series there. It seems the non-selection of Jack Leach, Somersets left-arm spinner, owed something to the experience of Simon Kerrigan in the Oval Test of 2013. While Kerrigan had played some A team (or Lions as it is now known) cricket before that Test, he was still something of an unknown quantity and perhaps hadnt spent enough time around the rest of the squad to feel completely comfortable. As a result, it is thought Kerrigan was not in the best position to do himself justice. He conceded 53 runs from eight first-innings overs and did not bowl again in the match. The experience seems to have scarred him and he has never quite recaptured the excellence of his bowling before it. The selectors are keen not to expose Leach to the same experience. It was noticeable that his county captain, Chris Rogers, said earlier this week he felt Leach emotionally still has a bit of a way to go before he was ready for the top level. The flaw in such an argument comes with the realisation that Hameed has not played any Lions cricket, either. Is the discipline of spin bowling so different mentally to that of opening the batting? Perhaps. Or maybe Hameed is simply a more phlegmatic character. Either way, expect Leach - and Ben Foakes, who was another to narrowly miss out on selection in the Test squad - to feature in performance squads named on Monday. Stephon Marbury Jersey . JOHNS, N. Jason Kidd Jersey .com) - The red-hot Los Angeles Kings will try to extend their winning streak to a season-high seven games when they visit the Edmonton Oilers for Sundays clash at Rexall Place. https://www.cheapsunsonline.com/ . But now that hes in the NHL, the Calgary Flames centre showed big improvement in that department by scoring the winner in the eighth round of a 5-4 shootout victory over the Winnipeg Jets on Monday. With the 2016 finals fast approaching, ESPN NRL expert Brett Kimmorley identifies the good, bad or otherwise from an action-packed round 25 in his latest edition of Set of Six.Cowboys title defence alive and kickingI am now convinced the Cowboys can go back-to-back: how do you stop them? Just the creativity they have - we talk about Johnathan Thurston, but they also have Lachlan Coote, Michael Morgan, Jake Granville, Jason Taumololo, who is the wrecking ball of their side, and Matt Scotts been rested.I saw enough on Thursday night to say the North Queensland Cowboys are the best team in the competition and its made me sway away from the Melbourne Storm.I think the Cowboys only won one of their last five games last year leading into the finals and went on to become premiers. They know how to win tight games, they have the best player in the world in the halves, they have momentum now and they are relatively injury free.Brisbanes mystery mentor is no Average JoeTheyve been working with a touch football expert in Brisbane since Kevin Walters left and hes apparently a life coach as well. He popped up a few weeks ago when Wayne Bennett didnt bring Walters back into the fold and as much as you try and do some research, people dont tell you a great deal about him. As far as people get is Joe someone. The two things I took out of the Broncos win against the Storm on Friday night was the energy they had. They all continually mentioned energy at every media interview they did after the game and the fact that they trained for the past month with this touch football mentality where they pass the football more had an add-on effect against Melbourne. It helps you avoid the wrestle and if players know they are going to get the ball as a support runner, they are going to be more encouraged to support the ball and it generates a lot more momentum and its very hard to defend against.I dont know if the Broncos will play that style every week, but certainly that positivity and energy goes a long way to getting the job done with the talent they have in their roster. If Im a half-back and Ive got people around me willing to run in support, then Im loving that because it gives me so many different options to pass the ball to. Weve seen Ben Hunts and Anthony Milfords running game increase over the last two weeks and that only happens when youve got support.Matt Moylan holds the key to Penriths seasonMatt Moylan is just an amazing football player and he doesnt get the raps that Cooper Cronk, Johnathan Thurston and Jarryd Hayne get; but hes so great to watch. We talk about Nathan Cleary and the forwards, but if Penrith do something this year Moylan will be the star of the occasion.I like his ability to play both sides of the field; sometimes play first pivot; second pivot; third pivot; he can goal-kick. Moylan ticks every box in my mind and obviously being Panthers captain at such a young age shows he is very calm in the head which is what guys like Thurston, Cronk, Darren Lockyer and Andrew Johns had.?He is always smiling and he looks like hes a kid going out to play park football. He wont swear, throw the football or do any of the other rubbish you sometimes see from players when they make a mistake. Its refreshing to see a kid with a smile on his face, enjoying his football and gooing out onto the field each week and having a dig.dddddddddddd.Cronullas fantastic farewell for Michael EnnisIt was a great farewell for Michael Ennis from Southern Cross Group Stadium on Saturday night. The Sharks did an amazing tribute to Ennis after the win against the Roosters;?hes only been at Cronulla for two years so its not like he is a club local junior or anything, but I think they appreciate how much hes done for the club.It was a great ceremony and a special moment for a player I spent a bit of time with, and I think this is the type of appreciation that players cherish when they come to the end of their careers. Most fans hate him until he joins their club; hes the ultimate competitor but a lovely fellow and a really great family guy. Id love to see the Sharks go all the way for him, but that will be the last time he plays at Southern Cross Group Stadium so it was nice that he gets the opportunity to play his last game there.Unfortunately, Jamie Lyon didnt get that opportunity to know that he was playing his last game at Brookvale Oval for Manly and I think theyre special moments for a player.?Raiders can win it all, but ...The Raiders are one of the sides that can win the competition but I thought their mindset against the Sea Eagles was a bit off on Saturday. The fact they scored 40-odd points without Blake Austin is great,?but the fact that Manly scored 30 points against them showed they slipped back into that we score, you score mentality that has been their weakness in the past.Theyve been so good for a number of weeks staying mentally switched on for the full 80 minutes, but I thought this was an indication that they can get a little bit loose or a little bit disinterested and this competition is such a mind game. The Raiders showed me a little bit of that loose mindset and they wont get away with it in the finals. Theyve won nine straight games now and its hard to stay up each week.It just shows that if youre up for so long and drop a little bit, you can lose to anyone.?Cheap ruck penalties need to be addressedCameron Smith was spot on Friday night in debating Anthony Milfords tactic of throwing the ball into an opposing player in the play-the-ball to milk a cheap penalty. If you dont do it deliberately then you should get the ball back and another set of six. But in Milfords case, he almost threw the ball along the ground to hit a Storm player behind the ruck, and I think its a rule we need to look at it.Its a bit of gamesmanship and I congratulate Milford for knowing the rules because not many may know that rule. But I have a concern that a pocket ref could get in the way one day and it will cause a fair bit of embarrassment when a team gets another set of six in a critical moment.?I thought Felise Kaufusi had done enough to get himself out of the way but it is very ironic that Cameron Smith went off his head because hes done it plenty of times in the past and milked other penalties from falling over in the ruck as well.It is a rule that was probably introduced when we had one referee in the game but now we have two referees, and one sits close in the pocket to adjudicate, it is probably time to review it. Pirelli has revealed the tyre allocations for the U.S. Grand Prix, which sees Ferrari opt for much more aggressive selection than Mercedes or Red Bull. After two races with the hardest tyres in Pirellis range, the tyre manufacturer is bringing medium, soft and super-soft compounds to the Circuit of the Americas. Ferrari has decided to bring just one medium tyre for Sebastian Vettel and Kimi Raikkonen, who have five sets of softs and seven super-softs.By contrast, Red Bull have four of the hardest compound in the weekends range, and three softs and six super-softs. Mercedes have split tyre choices between Nico Rosberg and Lewis Hamilton, who have two and three medium tyres and five and four tyres respectively. That means the teammates and championship rivals will split their run plans during Friday practice to maximise the data available to the world champions.Away from the front, the other two teams with 2016 Ferrari engines have also gone aggressive -- Sauber has identical selections, while Haas has picked seven soft tyres and split copied Mercedes tactic and split the medium and soft tyre selections between Romain Grosjean and Esteban Gutierrez. The selections can be seen in full below: Dallas Mavericks Gear . Bristol have suspended director of rugby Andy Robinson and appointed Mark Tainton as acting head coach.Former England and Scotland head coach Robinson led the club back into the Aviva Premiership in May after a seven-year stint in the Championship.Bristol, though, have struggled on their return to the top flight and have lost all seven of their games so far to sit bottom of the table.Bristol chairman Chris Booy told the clubs official website: This is clearly a very difficult time for the club, but we remain confident we can retain our position in the Premiership. The support for the club this season has been outstanding and that continued backing is very important going forward. TORONTO -- It took nearly one full hour and a handful of wild turns to get there, but SmackDown Live was the last team standing on Sunday in a battle for brand supremacy against Raw at WWE Survivor Series.?Randy Orton and Bray Wyatt proved to be the sole survivors in a 5-on-5 mens traditional Survivor Series match at Air Canada Centre, joining teammates AJ Styles, Dean Ambrose and Shane McMahon in a victory over Raws Kevin Owens, Chris Jericho, Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins and Braun Strowman.?Among the SmackDown Live faithful, WWE world champion Styles received far and away the biggest reaction, while Jericho and WWE Universal champion Owens were welcomed with almost deafening cheers from their home crowd in Canada.Owens was the clear choice to start for Raw, and after a bit of a debate, it became a battle of world champions, as Styles of SmackDown stepped into the ring across from him. It quickly broke down into an exchange of punches in the middle of the ring, but with this being such an early stage of the match and so much time to work with, there wasnt seemingly much at stake. The crowd erupted after Owens tagged in his best friend Jericho (and hugged him in the ring to boot), and everything Jericho did was met with raucous applause. We then got a brief tease of Rollins versus Styles before he tagged out to set up a Shield reunion of sorts between Rollins and Ambrose that went to a stalemate. That was the case for much of the early stages of this match, with everyone except the current and former members of The Wyatt Family getting into the mix. It was all about setting the tone and pace, but a mid-ring confrontation and a complete breakdown started the build to the more eventful parts of the match -- highlighted by Owens top-rope Swanton onto all of his fellow competitors and teammates.Teammates (and SmackDown rivals) Styles and Ambrose threw down in the middle of the ring, failing to put the team above themselves, and the result was a running powerslam from Braun Strowman on Ambrose for the first elimination of the night, which temporarily deprived fans of a true Shield reunion in the ring. Wyatt briefly grabbed a psychological hold on Strowman -- his former Wyatt Family prodigy -- causing him to grab Jericho by the throat. But any indications of a return to the Wyatt Family soon faded.Orton hit another highlight-reel moment with an RKO (out of nowhere) on Strowman onto a table, and then he and Wyatt laid Strowman down onto it for a signature Shane McMahon moment -- a flying elbow from the top rope onto Strowman, causing the table to break. The impact of the move?ultimately led to Strowmans count-out elimination, which was aided by SmackDown mascot James Ellsworth climbing under the ring and holding Strowmans feet. An angry Strowman sought instant revenge by throwing Ellsworth off the stage at the top of the ramp and through a table of his own.Things slowed down again during the four-on-four sequence, with McMahon taking the bulk of the beating. A seemingly innocuous run by Styles to attack Owens led the Universal champion to hit Styles with The List, followed by a pop-up powerbomb. The action led Owens to be eliminated by disqualification and caused Jericho to lose his mind trying to re-assemble the remnants of his precious List. This distraction kept Jerichos attention long enough to be pinned following another RKO. In the blink of an eye, it was down to Rollins and Reigns against four members of Team SmackDown. The sudden loss of both Canadians in the match took something out of this Toronto crowd, and it didnt recover fully until they got a chance to wholeheartedly boo Reigns at every possible turn. A temporary distraction nearly caused McMahon to eat a spear from Reigns. Instead, McMahon set Reigns up for a Coast-2-Coast. But Reigns leaped up to catch McMahon with a flying spear in a move that looked like it should have led to a three-count, but with McMahon seemingly knocked out cold, his shoulder wasnt flush on the mat. Moments later he was deemed eliminated by knockout as the referee motioned for medical attention, taking something away from the impact of the moment as the crowd worried about McMahons health. With McMahon carried to the back, the match resumed 3-on-2, but not without the crowd blaming Reigns for McMahons injury with a loud chant. In fact, it took Rollins superplex-Falcon Arrow combination for them to properly get back into the match. Ambrose got his revenge from earlier in the match by running back out and striking down Styles. As security went to go break it up, we got a true Shield reunion as Reigns and Rollins convinced Ambrose to do the first Shield triple powerbomb with all three men on the same page (there was one other instance, during a Fatal 4-Way match for the WWE championship on Orton, while Rollins was still part of the Authority) since their breakup almost two-and-a-half years ago. Rollins subsequently pinned Styles in the middle of the ring. With two members of each team remaining, a Shield versus Wyatt Family showdown broke out for the remainder of the match, with Luke Harper making an appearance of his own. The crowd was largely still conflicted -- excited about a temporary Shield reunion, but upset about the way the story around it went down. Harper took out Reigns, but Rollins neutralized Harper with a flip over the top rope.Rollins went for a springboard dive, when Orton hit his third elimination-inducing RKO of the match -- this time with Rollins already in mid-air. It was very much a three-on-one effort from there, and while Reigns managed to take out Harper on the outside, Orton cemented his status within The Wyatt Family when he shoved Wyatt out of the way and absorbed a spear. Wyatt hit a Sister Abigail on Reigns for the three-count, sealing Team SmackDowns win and finally earning a signature career victory after a seemingly endless run of defeats in high-profile contests. For full match recaps and ratings from Survivor Series, click here. The magic of upsets continued during the course of a rather unpredictable UGC Smash Open weekend at the Gateway Convention Center in Collinsville, IL. With the number one position on SSBMRank so heavily contested, each match between Juan Hungrybox Debiedma and Adam Armada Lindgren has become much more important. But this time, the grand finals featured Jason Mew2King Zimmerman. In the winners bracket, Edgard n0ne Sheleby sent Mew2King to losers after a close five-game set, while Michael Mike Haze Pulido sent Joseph Mango Marquez to losers after a 3-1 victory. The early unpredictable losses meant that Mew2King and Mango would play earlier than normal in the losers bracket with the loser placing in thirteenth place. The set went to a close game five, but Mew2King managed to outplay Mango in several spots to take the set.For Armada and Hungrybox, it was business as usual as they went relatively unscathed in their paths to winners finals. In winners semis, n0ne started the set strong against Armada, but Armada meticulously put together a comeback to win the first game and, later, the entire set. Hungrybox had little trouble with William Leffen Hjelte as he won in four games. It seems like a reoccurring pattern; another tournament, another Armada-Hungrybox finals.Hungrybox struck early in the winners finals set by winning the first two games. His level of play started to look like his Evo 2016 performance, but Armadas grit let him take the next three games to win the set and advance into grand finals.Meanwhile, Mew2King slowly built momentum in Top 8, defeating James Duck Ma, Mango, Mustafa Ice Akcakaya, Zachary SFAT Cordoni, n0ne, and Leffen to advance into losers finals. The thorn in Mew2kings side, Hungrybox, was the next roadblock. The set count has been heavily in Hungryboxs favor in 2016, but Mew2King showed smart adaptations this time. Instead of the usual laser-camping style, Mew2King played much more aggressively and invaded Hungryboxs space without making too many mistakes. The strategic adjustments worked out for Mew2King, as he surprised everyone with a win and ticket to the grand finals against Armada.By far, this has been one of the longest losers bracket runs of Mew2Kings career, but could he take two consecutive sets over Armada? The odds did not seem to be in Mew2Kings favor. In 2016, his set record against Armada was an abysmal 1-7, but that didnt seem to matter to him at UGC. He played the first set masterfully, controlling the pace of the game as he pressured Armada into making tough decision after tough decision. Mew2King managed to reset the bracket after winning the first set in four games, and the momentum seemed to be on his side. However, beating Armada in two consecutive sets is no easy task and Armada began to hit his stride in the second set. The easy kill setups that Mew2King found in Set 1 were nowhere to be found in the second. Armada won Game 1 decisively on Battlefield, and Mew2King looked to even things up on Final Destination. In a nail-biting Game 2, Armada found the killing blow before Mew2King, to take a 2-0 lead. With his back against the wall, Mew2king gained some momentum by winning Game 3 on the runback on Final Destination, but Armada now had access to two strong counter-pick stages for the remainder of the set. On Dreamland, Mew2King put together an impressive display of dash-dancing and mixups, but Armadas strong defensive use of turnips and counter-attacks were too much as he clinched the set 3-1 to win UGC.Despite finishing in second, Mew2King gives his fans something to cheer about as he demonstrated that he can win against anyone in the world. At UGC, he put together an impressive run, and defeated four members of the big 6 in the process. Armada, on the other hand, sealed his second consecutive title as best player of the year over Hungrybox on the annual rankings. Houston Rockets Pro Shop . Boucher previously coached the Tampa Bay Lightning and had a 97-78-20 record over two-plus seasons. Dane Piedt is considering all options to further his cricket career in England and would not be averse to a Kolpak deal, according to his agent Francois Brink. Piedt, who has played seven Tests for South Africa, most recently in August, would ideally welcome a stint as an overseas player on the county circuit but is open to other offers as well.He is looking for a deal but whether that is overseas or Kolpak, we are waiting to see, Brink told ESPNcricinfo. Dane is still keen to play for South Africa and if a Kolpak offer came it would require heavy consideration. At the moment, there is nothing on the table and he is fully committed to South Africa.Should Piedt opt for the Kolpak route, he would be the fourth recent Test cap to pause his international career and head for England after Stiaan van Zyl, Simon Harmer and Hardus Viljoen all signed for counties from the 2017 season. There is talk of at least two other players involved in the South Africa Test set-up being interested in similar deals.A source close to the players revealed that their reasons have as much to do with financial security and limited opportunities at home as they do with the uncertainty over what Brexit - the UK vote to leave the EU - will mean for South Africans looking to work there. We all know the Rand is declining but its when you see players like Dane Piedt or Stiaan van Zyl struggling to get into franchise teams for the domestic T20 because the teams need to meet targets, you understand why some of them are looking to leave, the insider said. For Piedt, who is non-white, the argument takes a different twist. CSAs transformation targets stipulate that franchises must field six players of colour, of which three must be black African - effectively leaving only three places for those of mixed race or Indian descent. As a result, Piedt has found it difficult to get game time at the Titans, where he is on loan from the Cobras. Piedt has been a regular in the Cobras first-class campaign this year.At national level, the team is required to have an average of six players of colour over the course of a season, of which at least two must be black African. Piedt has lost ground to Keshav Maharaj and Tabraiz Shamsi in the national selectors eyes but he has been included in the South African XI to play thhe touring Sri Lankans in a warm-up match starting this weekend.ddddddddddddWhile transformation is being blamed for the possible talent drain, former South Africa captain Graeme Smith played it down as the reason for players looking elsewhere.Everyone is probably going to go the transformation angle but CSA have been honest and open about their transformation policies and I actually like that, Smith said. I think its nice to see that theyve put themselves out there. Free agency is one of the greatest challenges to world cricket today, with the twenty-over competitions and the opportunities to not only make money but forge careers in other parts of the world. He urged CSA to do its best to keep hold of the majority of players. Thats why the culture of South African cricket, the honesty, the value system needs to be really strong and hopefully that you will keep creating dreams that people want to play for the Proteas, that are greater than the monies they can earn elsewhere or the opportunities that lie out there, he said.CSA has indicated it is not overly concerned about the numbers that may be lost. Haroon Lorgat told the Guardian : We cannot restrain individuals from plying their trade. Over and above our regular reviews of the domestic playing rules and regulations to ensure it is fit for purpose, we will continue to rather focus on making sure that we have the best systems to produce the best cricketers in numbers. We have realised a long time back that the world is a global village with people very mobile. Like in every other country and across every other profession, South African citizens will venture abroad to take advantage of stronger currencies and employment opportunities. While the Rand has strengthened against the pound, it sits at over R17 at the moment and the lure of building a nest egg is too strong for some players to turn down, especially because they may not have that for much longer. The uncertainty over what changes to the UKs relationship with Europe will mean for Kolpak signings - which rely on trading agreements with the EU - means that a lot of players are looking to get in while they still can, the source said. CLEVELAND -- The NBA champion Cleveland Cavaliers waived Dahntay Jones, the veteran reserve swingman who gave the team a spark in Game 6 of the NBA Finals. The team announced the move Saturday.Jones, who was signed on the final day of the regular season, came off the bench in Game 6 and scored five straight points to slow a Golden State rally. He also drew a pair of fouls on Warriors forward Draymond Green. The Cavs brought in the 35-year-old Jones to give them depth and another perimeter defender. He had plenty of postseason experience before joining Cleveland and he wound up making a significant, if small, contribution.Jones has averaged 5.4 points and 1.7 rebounds in 13 seasons. He began his career with Memphis 2003 and has also played for Sacramento, Denver, Indiana, Dallas, Atlanta and the Los Angeles Clippers. Air Max 97 London Summer Of Love .C. -- After a listless first half, the Washington Wizards used a big third quarter run to beat the Charlotte Bobcats Bradley Beal scored 21 points and the Wizards used a 17-0 run in the third quarter to take control of what had been a close game and beat the Bobcats 97-83 on Tuesday night. Following a lopsided 5-2 loss against the New Jersey Devils on Wednesday night, Paul MacLean told reporters that "theres a lack of focus, theres a lack of leadership and theres a lack of preparation" with his struggling team. That came on the heels of Bryan Murray taking the unusual step of going into the locker room at the Prudential Center and addressing the players himself. Air Max 97 Argento . Canada is now down to its 22-player limit, although but players wont be registered until Christmas Day. Changes could still be made as a result of a suspension or injury. Brazilian national coach Luiz Felipe Scolari has confirmed that the veteran goalkeeper is set to join Toronto on loan, saying it will help him be ready for the World Cup. KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Charcandrick West was playing for Joe McKnight. Tyreek Hill was playing for the fans chanting his name. The Chiefs defense was playing for its injured leader.Everybody on the Kansas City sideline was playing for control of the AFC West. This was a big game, Chiefs cornerback Steven Nelson said, stripping off his uniform after a 21-13 victory over the Oakland Raiders on Thursday night. It means a lot of things down the road. The ramifications begin with the division race, where the Chiefs (10-3) forged a tie with Oakland (10-3) at the top. But they also hold the tiebreaker by virtue of their two head-to-head wins and are positioned for a first-round playoff bye with three regular season games left. Its huge, Chiefs linebacker Dee Ford said. It probably wont hit until afterward and we are unwinding. We have 10 days to actually enjoy it and celebrate it.There were plenty of story lines at cold, wind-swept Arrowhead Stadium.West scored in the first half as Kansas City raced to a 21-3 lead, and then pulled up his jersey to reveal a white shirt that said Long Live Joe -- a tribute to McKnight, his fellow Louisiana native and a former Chiefs running back who was shot to death last week.He was out there with me tonight, West said.Hill scored twice, once on a long touchdown reception and later on a punt return. The dynamic score on special teams came after Hill had fumbled a punt earlier in the game, and as thousands of fans who had bundled up against the cold had a begun to say his name in unison. It was crazy, man. I didnt know what to do, Hill said. After the Raiders got within 21-13 in the second half, the Chiefs defense kept making a stand, even though Derrick Johnson was no longer there to help them. The veteran linebackers season came to a sudden and frustrating end when he ruptured his Achilles tendon late in the first half.It was one of those next-man-up things, Nelson said. Fill your role. The Chiefs did that perfectly in beating Oakland for the seventh time in eight meetings. They held Derek Carr to 17 of 41 for 117 yards passing, prevented Amari Cooper and Michael Crabtree from having any impact on the game, and held Latavius Murray in check most of the night. He finished with 103 yards and a touchdown. We had no doubt in oour mind we were going to get back in the game.dddddddddddd But again, we didnt make enough plays to do that, Murray said. Like coach said, `What we want in our goals and what were after, theyre still there for us. We wont let this determine who we are and what we want to accomplish. Here are some of the other takeaways from the Chiefs crucial victory:CATCHING KELCE: Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce had five catches for 101 yards, his fourth straight game with at least 100 yards. That matches the franchise record set by Tony Gonzalez, and allows him to join a group of tight ends that also includes Jimmy Graham who have accomplished that feat.OSEMELE OUT: Raiders offensive lineman Kelechi Osemele woke up Thursday sick enough that he went to the hospital for treatment. Coach Jack Del Rio declined to say what was wrong, but did say that Osemele was going to be able to return to Oakland with the team. Not trying to get into specifics, Del Rio said, but it was significant enough we wanted to make sure we got him to the proper care.MACK TRUCKING: Khalil Mack had a strip-sack for the third consecutive game, though for the first time he didnt recover his own fumble. The sack also gave him one in eight straight games, matching Lance Johnstone for the longest streak in franchise history since sacks became official in 1982.TRY SOME STICKUM: The Raiders were plagued by dropped passes, including one by Seth Roberts that would have resulted in a touchdown. Roberts only hauled in two catches on nine targets, while Cooper had five catches on 10 targets and Crabtree had four catches on seven targets. We just didnt execute how we normally could, Cooper said. We just have to find a way to execute and move the ball.NO EXCUSES: Even though the wind chill approached single digits by the end of the game, the Raiders were unwilling to use the weather as an excuse. Thats football weather, offensive tackle Donald Penn said. Weather didnt have anything to do with it. Ive played in the cold. Everybodys played in the cold once. Weather had nothing to do with it.---For more NFL coverage: http://www.pro32.ap.org and http://www.twitter.com/AP-NFL ' ' '

In our latest roundup of cards from Hearthstones Mean Streets of Gadgetzan expansion, we start to get farther into one of the major themes: cards that buff other cards in-hand. While these types of buffs arent completely new -- the rarely-played Mistcaller buffed all cards in your hand and deck -- the focus on this type of effect is.Why hand-buffing cards? They enable a longer game, rather than cards that enhance the games tendency to become Curvestone (playing cards mainly because they fit a mana curve). Its not explicitly a catchup mechanism like pure control decks like to have, but it does give an opportunity to defer value to later in a synergistic, possibly exploitable way, perhaps taking midrange decks away from the tempo style. Will it work? The jurys still out.Maybe there will be a Murloc-heavy deck in the upcoming meta after all? When Finja came out, I was a little skeptical. While I still am, the Blowgill Sniper is a reasonable inclusion into such a deck. The base statline of 2/1 is unimpressive for two mana, but Murloc decks only have a single card that does direct damage when being played, as opposed to buffing an existing minion on-board, Corrupted Seer. Sometimes you need that little ping and if there is a Murloc deck, its not likely to be one of the easy ping classes. Elven Archer can ping for one, but for one more mana you get the extra point of health and the oh-so-important Murloc synergy. If Murloc decks become a thing for Paladin outside of the bursty Anyfin-type hybrid decks, Grimscale Chum will likely make that cut. A one-mana 2/1 isnt that bad in itself, just unimpressive, but the Murloc synergies and the +1/+1 make up for it. Youll usually have a minion in your hand if you play this and if you topdeck this card, if youre topdecking with a Murloc deck and havent sealed the win, youve probably already lost anyway.I like cards like Dirty Rat for two primary reasons. First, I like anti-aggro tools and Dirty Rat, like our dearly departed friend Deathlord, is a high-health, early-game Taunt with a significant downside in return. Against an aggro deck, youre unlikely to be pulling a large cost minion from your opponents hand, which is why Deathlord worked in the first place. And secondly, I like cards that reward paying attention and understanding the meta and your opponents hand. How many cards they mulligan and evaluating your ability to remove certain cards they may have are key to determining whether you want to be playing this card. And its not a card thats going to be good in all metas or with all classes.A 2/4 for four mana is a pretty poor stat configuration, but if the card has a really solid effect, it will be playable in competitive play. Keeper of the Grove was one such card, before it was nerfed to a 2/2. Is Dispatch Kodo one? If buff decks turn out to be strong enough, the upside of this card makes it playable. Just a 3/5, deal three damage card would be bonkers with a single in-hand +1/+1 buff. An old Keeper of the Grove that doesnt silence but is a Beast is almost good enough for less aggressive Hunter decks, simply because of the value of a ping to a Hunter. Even if it doesnt make a deck, youll see it in Arena because Stormpike Commando, a five-mana 4/2 that does two damage, is sometimes around and this card is better.I happen to think we will see that Hunter buff deck, in a large part because of Rat Pack As-is, Rat Pack isnt that much worse than Haunted Creeper (two-mana 1/2, summon two 1/1 spiders) or Infested Wolf (four-mana 3/3, summon two 1/1 spiders) and both of those cards are popular inclusions. But buffing this card instantly gets insane and as its a deathrattle, not a battlecry, so you can even buff this with a Houndmaster, which is already in Hunter decks. Earlier-revealed cards like Trogg Beastrager are suddenly looking better.Once upon a time, there was a terrible card named Cobra Shot, which for five-mana, did three damage to a minion and three to the enemy hero. Now, turn Cobra Shot into a minion that can do that as long as it stays alive and you have a very good Hunter legendary. Its only a single point off vanilla five-mana stats (11 points) and here you want it to be heavier in health so that you can clear the board and smOrc in the same turn.Plus, its a gangster gorilla, so I think I wouldve liked this card even if was unplayable.Charge cards have been endlessly problematic to balance for Blizzard, with the majority of the nerfs in Hearthstones history involving cards with Charge mechanics that were too powerful for their mana cost. In recent expansions, Blizzard has been introducing Charges that are very expensive or have significant conditions, as an attempt to balance this mechanic. Here we have three, related cards that reflect this philosophy, the Tanaris Hogchopper, Spiked Hogrider, and the Leatherclad Hogleader. Not only does this reflect a continued bit of care with Charge but from the art, a in-depth knowledge of the Mad Max universe. Are the cards playable in Constructed? Id have to say no, especially for two of them. The big daddy, the Leatherclad Hogleader, appears to exist only as a break-glass-in-case-of-emergency option if suddenly very greedy Control decks start oppressing the meta. Against a Renolock or a Control Priest, this card may be playable. But at the times at which your opponent doesnt have six or more cards, which is the vast majority of Hearthstone games in the games history, its just a worse Boulderfist Ogre, who never sees play in top-level tournaments. Goblin Sapper never worked and this one wont either, though youll sometimes see it in Arena.Tanaris Hogchopper is also likely a card youll see in Arena as four mana 4/4s see play in Arena and you do get into topdecking battles late in the game with pure Control decks hard to assemble. But in Constructed? Nope.Spike Hogrider might be the exception here. One of the nice things about the card is that the Charge is gained by Battlecry, which means you dont have to actually remove an enemy taunt using this minion (though you can if you choose to). 5/5 for five isnt as good a statline as it used to be with the emergence of 5/6 minions at the same cost and I think in the end it wont see Constructed play, but one has to at least consider it before rejecting it. Like Tanaris Hogchopper, youll see this card in Arena.I think Smugglers Run will see play in a variety of Paladin decks. First off, you have the aggressive aggro-token Paladin decks that people will at least attempt to build because of the buff cards that have been released so far. And you also have a benefit to Control Paladin, which frequently doesnt have anything better to do in early turns as the one-mana secrets are only really good if you get a bunch of those for free. The Grimestreet Protector is a one of the few tools that Control Paladins have got that doesnt do an even better job pushing an early-game Paladin style. Grimesteet Protector starts off missing three points of stats from a vanilla card, but the Taunt has value -- you occasionally saw non-dragon decks play Chillmaw, a Taunt with the same stats, even without NZoth to resurrect it laster -- as does Divine Shield. I think this card sees play in Control Paladin decks, even one that eschews the other buff cards.Surprisingly, with more than half of the set now unveiled, Abyssal Enforcer is the only Warlock class card to be released. And its a good one, so long as you dont plan on trying to play this in Zoolock. Hellfire has long been a staple of Handlock/Renolock decks, a four-mana card that has the same effect as this Battlecry. So this is like Hellfire that comes with a three-mana 6/6, which is an absurdly good statline. As such, this will be a staple in late-game Warlock decks and given that its a Common, youll see this in a lot of Warlock Arena decks. This article is part of a series analyzing the cards in the Mean Streets of Gadgetzan Hearthstone expansion. For more, see part 1, part 2, part 3, part 4, part 5, part 6 and part 7. Levine Toilolo Jersey .R. Smith realized how easily basketball can be taken from him, and he wasnt going to take his place in the NBA for granted anymore. Jaquiski Tartt Jersey . LOUIS -- Alexander Steen scored a power-play goal with 59. https://www.49ersjerseysale.com/722l-fred-dean-jersey-49ers.html . The scientists believe the small earthquake during a Marshawn Lynch touchdown was likely greater than Lynchs famous "beast quake" touchdown run three years ago, which also came against New Orleans during a playoff game. Wilbur Jackson Jersey .875,000, avoiding arbitration. Clippards deal Monday means all eight Nationals players who filed for arbitration wound up settling before a hearing. Ken Willard Jersey . Newcastle dominated in the early stages but City weathered the storm and then raised its game in extra time. Negredo broke the deadlock from close range after a simple move in the 99th minute before Dzeko took the ball round goalkeeper Tim Krul to seal the victory in the 105th. England debutant, Liam Dawson, scored an unbeaten 66 from 148 balls, the highest score by an England debutant batting at No. 8, to guide his side to a sizeable 477-run first innings total in the fifth Test in Chennai on Saturday.Dawson came to the crease with his side, on 300 for 6, in danger of letting the advantage slip. Centurion Moeen Alis departure eight-overs later gave India hope of seizing the advantage by restricting the visitors to a below-par score.Dawson and his new partner Rashid Ali though joined forces and ended any hope of India dictating terms. The duo began cautiously before lunch, scoring just 31 runs in 15.2 overs. Indias seamers, and Ishant Sharma in particular, had tested Dawsons resolve early by bouncing him and rattling his helmet. The right-hander though refused to budge and quickly moved to 27. He clobbered three fours, which included a flick off Umesh Yadav,, a square-cut off R Ashwin, and a cover drive, against the turn, off an Amit Mishra googly, to make his attacking intentions clear.dddddddddddd He reached his 50 from 121 deliveries. The Dawson-Rashid combine added 108 runs for the eighth wicket from 41.3 overs they were together. Rashid finally departed after adding an impressive 60 from 155 balls. Englands tail wagged as the their last four batsmen added 157 all-important runs that handed them a total that would stretch Indias in form batting unit. The Dawson-Rashid partnership was the third highest eighth-wicket stand by visiting teams in Tests in India. Keith Boyce and Viv Richards stand of 124 in Delhi in 1974 is the highest, while Imran Khan and Wasim Akrams 112 in Chennai in 1986-87 is the next best. ' ' '

It is a good time to be an All Blacks fan, weve got nothing to complain about really. It was good to see a contest in Hamilton last weekend and I thought the Argentinians did themselves proud for 50 minutes. But the impact of the bench and the class of the All Blacks to weather the storm and come through was quite pleasing to see.I enjoyed the game and it was great to see someone like Julian Savea find some form again. Once again Beauden Barrett was a class act and Ryan Crotty had a great game. Ben Smith just keeps on producing.Argentina were always going to target the All Blacks up front. They are big and strong and pride themselves on their set-piece. They like it in close and I think the frustrating thing for Aaron Smith was that they targeted in and around the fringes and they picked him out a few times.Really, running at Aaron Smith is something that should never happen in a game, you should always protect your half-back around those areas. But they certainly got through which means they broke some tackles. And when TJ Perenara came on for Smith he showed that he is as strong as many forwards. He can weather that sort of close quarter battle, hes a nuggety; a very powerful half-back. It was probably better suited for Perenara against the Pumas and if you get an opportunity in that environment, and they are few and far between, you take them with two hands.I always felt he was No.2 and he has had a great year and his form towards the end of Super Rugby was outstanding. It did seem when the side was first selected that Tawera Kerr-Barlow was favoured ahead of him, but I would have picked Perenara to be clearly the No.2 and he certainly proved it at the weekend. The planning that is going on in and around talent identification and bringing players through is a science in itself, but I think the All Blacks coaches are proving theyve got a really good grasp on not just the All Blacks in 2016 and looking at 2017, they are looking for the next World Cup and probably beyond which is something that has never really happened before. If you look at yesteryear and the way things used to work, youd get an All Blacks coach come in probably for a tenure of four years and then you would change him. There was always a call for his head and someone else to take over if you go through the Grizz Wyllies, the John Harts, the Laurie Mains. You can go all the way back for decades when there was always the case of: Who is the next All Blacks coach going to be?Now its more business orientated and if you look at Steve Hansen he is like a CEO with deputies around him. That means his job is not under threat and hes clearly developing. This goes as far back as Graham Henry because Henry always advocated helping to develop his deputies. He did that with Steve Hansen and Wayne Smith and it created a situation where any one of those three coaches could have been the All Blacks coach. Henry made everyone take ownership of that role and now Steve Hansen has carried on that momentum. It just seems to be a really professional way of running a sports team.Look at every other country. Michael Cheika has just come in after Ewen McKenzie. You can look at the woes of the South Africa coaches they have had over the last 10 years.New Zealand, by comparison, has got stability and business is good and growing. The structure in and around the management, and while nothing is perfect, it is as close to perfect as you can get.The New Zealand rugby public also seems much more attuned to what is going on, especially when you compare the All Blacks with the Warriors who now have another new coach. What the All Blacks have is something the rest of the world will be obviously jealous of: leadership. Its good management, professionalism and this goes right up to Steve Tew, the chief executive of New Zealand Rugby. He should take a real bow over whats been created with the on-field performance because at the end of the day hes the CEO and he has so much trust in Steve Hansen who is delivering on every front. Those guys are going to work with no monkeys on their backs, theyve got a clear job in hand and theyre developing deputies. Theyre actually thriving. It is a sport, but if this was business they could be described as raking in the profits because of the development they are doing in the form of players. So far as South Africa this weekend is concerned I dont know if we can expect much more than what we have already seen out of South Africa. Theyve got some injury woes and in the locking department they are two players out already. And Willem Alberts coming in, he is the sort of crash-and-bash player, the arm wrestle-type rugby player and thats what South Africa will look at.They will see what Argentina did and where they can put some pressure on the All Blacks. They will try and replicate that because it is, and always has been, a good part of their game. That arm wrestle type rugby is what theyre good at and Argentina showed theres a fat mans track right down the middle and if you can crack that and create something off it you can find holes in the All Blacks defence. They always rise to the play the All Blacks; theyre our greatest foe. Were going to get a Springboks team that will believe they can beat the All Blacks because unlike Argentina, there is no monkey on their backs. Theyve beaten the All Blacks time and time again over the years, although it hasnt been in recent years, but theyll be wanting to chance their arm and do their best.Ultimately, though, I think the All Blacks have got way too much firepower and they know what the Springboks will deliver and they will have done work on where Argentina exposed them. Its one thing analysing how the All Blacks got exposed last week but its another thing expecting the All Blacks to run out and let those sorts of errors occur again. They will have been well and truly addressed now and if youre looking one week behind it is too late in the All Blacks environment. One final point regarding the Chiefs post-season dramas, I think as a parent if there is any lesson that came out of that I sat my 16-year-old boy down and showed him exactly what could happen. I think if every parent in New Zealand could take some lessons out of it and pass that knowledge on then that is the only way we are going to change the culture in our community. It is a community issue, not just a rugby isolated issue, and I think whenever something bad goes on thats the best time to learn and pass on to those who are in the best position to learn. Vanessa DiBernardo Jersey . The team says the Spain international has a muscle pull in his right leg. Barcelona hosts third-division side Cartagena in the return leg of their round-of-32 tie after winning their first meeting 4-1. Naomi Girma Jersey . Murray beat Sam Querrey 7-6 (5), 6-7 (3), 6-1, 6-3 to clinch Britains opening-round victory against the United States on Sunday at Petco Park. "Im proud of the way Im playing just now, because I had to do a lot of work to get back to where I want to be," Murray said after celebrating with his teammates on the red clay court in a temporary stadium in left field of the downtown home of baseballs San Diego Padres. https://www.cheapuswnt.com/1052w-bethany-balcer-jersey-usa.html . Aside from the trilogy main event title fight, there are a number of intriguing matchups in the heavyweight, welterweight and lightweight divisions. Shannon MacMillan Jersey . TUSCALOOSA, Ala. -- Speaking about a former teammate who had just ended her season Sunday, Monica Abbott described Chicago Bandits veteran Danielle Zymkowitz as a rallier. As in, one who rallies those around her.The qualities Abbott was talking about make the longest-serving player on the Chicago roster -- now in her sixth season in a league when making it half that long makes a player grizzled -- an important part of the culture of a franchise that annually punches above its supposed weight. She has been there before. The Bandits have been there before. And it is a franchise that is at it again after its 11-5 win against the top-seeded USSSA Pride leveled the best-of-three National Pro Fastpitch championship series and set up a winner-take-all finale in a softball rivalry every bit as special as that between the United States and Japan or Arizona and UCLA.What Zymkowitz began with a bloop single over the head of the shortstop in the bottom of the fourth inning, veteran teammate Brittany Cervantes completed with a much longer but no less arcing home run off the light pole in left field in the sixth inning. From the brink of elimination, the Bandits won by scoring more runs than any team scored against the Pride this season. The Bandits finished the regular season with a losing record, a rarity for them. They werent supposed to win a semifinal series against the ScrapYard Dawgs, the team that signed away Abbott this spring. But here the Bandits are on level footing with the Pride with one game left in the season, the same two teams left to settle a championship for the sixth time in the past seven years. You asked who would we rather face, the Prides Megan Wiggins said. In all honesty I would have rather faced ScrapYard because I know the type of team [the Bandits] are. It doesnt matter the opponent that theyre playing, it doesnt matter the pitcher that theyre facing. She should know. She was the thorn in the Prides side when she played for the Bandits. For the fourth time in as many postseason games, the Bandits scored first. With one out in the bottom of the third inning, Taylor Edwards drilled a pitch deep into the Tuscaloosa night for a home run. If the lead was familiar territory to the Bandits, it was unfamiliar to the Pride, their first deficit of the playoffs. It didnt seem to bother the best lineup in the league. The Pride rallied for two runs in the top of the fourth to take the lead. But instead of the beginning of the end for the team that presumably needed every break to fall its way, the Bandits made it the beginning of the fun. They answered the Prides runs with five of their own in the bottom of the fourth inning, Zymkowitzs bloop preceding, in due time, Jill Barretts three-run home run that pushed the lead to 6-2.The Pride answered again in the top of the fifth inning to cut the lead to 6-5. And again the Bandits answered in kind. Zymkowitz lined a double in the bottom of the inning that was the first step toward two more runs and an 8-5 lead. This time the see-saw never budged. The Pride went quietly in the top of the sixth inning, and Cervantes three-run home run in the bottom of that inning provided the exclamation mark. The Pride lineup Monday night included hitters ranked first, sixth, eighth and 15th in NCAA career home runs. That list didnt even include former Olympian Kelly Kretschman, the NPF MVP this season. Or Wiggins, a former MVP and an all-league selection the past six seasons who made the rich richer when she moved. In Zymkowitz and Cervantes, the Bandits lineup had at its heart two veterans who went undrafted and made the team by way of open tryouts in 2011 and 2012, respectively. Coach Michael Steuerwald said 45 players might show up for those annual tryouts, more than half of them former Division I players. Out of that mass, the team might find one or two who could help.No team more consistently finds talent that others overlooked, Zymkowitz and Cervantes the descendants of former finds like Amber Patton and Tammy Williams. And the former pair may, in turn, hand over that mantle to the likes of Megan Blank, the former Iowa standout who signed with the Bandits out of a tryout a year ago and had two hits and an RBI in Mondays game.I think everyone knows the level of talent across the country is incredible, Steuerwald said. Theres girls that arent playing in this league that could be and should be. And hopefully they have more opportunities as years come along. But for us, its a huge thing. We look at players that might not be drafted. For Cerv, [Kentucky] sent up film of her and we said Hey, can we get her to tryouts. The story isnt always exactly the same -- rookie pitcher Shelby Turnier, so poised in relief in both this game and the elimination game a day earlier against ScrapYard, was a prized second-round pick, as was starting pitcher Michelle Gascoigne in 2014. Barrett was a fourth-round find, but it was Akron that found her. The Bandits paid a first-round price to acquire her last fall. But the essence of the Bandits is in stories like those of Cervantes and Zymkowitz. Always in the shadow of the Pride, the Bandits perpetually play with something to prove. The entire first round that was selected in the 2012 draft is now out of the league. Cervantes has another game to play Tuesday.Cervantes played sparingly as a rookie in 2012. She recorded just 50 at-bats and eight hits for the summer. But the talent that made her one of the best run producers in the SEC matured in the professional game. She was the NPF offensive player of the year a season ago and ranks fourth in the league in on-base percentage this season. She is one of the best hitters in the world and has looked the part here with eight hits in five postseason games. After our final game [at Kentucky], I knew I wasnt done yet, Cervantes said. Even though I knew I wasnt playing [as an NPF rookie], I knew I was getting better, just by watching the people above me, like Vicky Galindo, Tammy, Amber, Shannon [Doepking] and Monica. Everybody was still helping me become a better player. Its fun to see the hard work kind of pay off.She and the Bandits manage a difficult balancing act, playing with a chip on their shoulders without seeming churlish. She used the word fun, and that genuinely seems to describe them. Steuerwald said this particular group was the most fun he has been around in Chicago -- even when it wasnt winning or playing particularly well early this year. But there is also an edge to them. Cervantes said the bat flip that followed a Wiggins home run in the opening game of the title series wasnt a source of motivation, but she made clear that there was some extra motivation stoking a rivalry that already burned hot.So often, too often and too easily, the lament is offered about womens sports that there arent enough upsets, there isnt enough parity. It is too often Serena Williams or the Connecticut womens basketball team marching to titles. The naysayers should take the time to watch the finale in Tuscaloosa on Tuesday night. There will be a great team that should win. There will be another team that believes it will win.And which team does is anyones guess. Like any real rivalry. Some of our vets have played in three, four championship series now, so theyre not scared of the situation, Steuerwald said. But at the same time, I think if you asked everyone in the softball world should we be going to Game 3 against the Pride tomorrow night, you probably would have won a lot of money in Vegas. Theyre actually athletes themselves, and outstanding ones at that -- the two-time defending NCAA champion Minnesota womens hockey team.Eight live in off-campus housing diagonally across the street from volleyball seniors Sarah Wilhite, Hannah and Paige Tapp, and Katie Schau. The volleyball Gophers are 2-0 when the hockey Gophers show up in costume, and Wilhite and Co. would love to see their pals cheering in the student section at this weekends NCAA regional in Minneapolis.Unfortunately, Friday night is out. The hockey team will be finishing its game at Boston University while, back home, Minnesota meets Missouri in the Sweet 16. But if the volleyball team advances to Saturdays regional final, the hockey team might be back in time to catch some of the match. Hockey starts at 3 p.m. EST and charters home afterward; volleyball tips at 10 p.m.Thats a game-changer, said junior forward Kelly Pannek, the leading scorer in Division I. It would be fun if we could swing by.Gophers volleyball is the hottest ticket on campus these days, reflecting the groundswell of support for Hugh McCutcheons dynamic squad that ranks No. 1 in one national poll and No. 2 in the other. The 27-4 Gophers sold out their last four Big Ten Conference matches at the 5,200-capacity Sports Pavilion -- the Pav for short -- as well as the first two rounds of the NCAA tournament. Tickets were so tight for the second round against Hawaii that scalpers worked the perimeter of the Pav, rare for a Minnesota womens game.Athletes claim some of the 200 day-of-the-match student tickets, cramming into small bleachers behind each end line.Showing up in costume isnt unusual at Minnesota. The student section at basketballs Williams Arena, a.k.a. The Barn, is known as The Barnyard, and many dress the part. Basketball coach Richard Pitinos brother Ryan once came to a game in a chicken suit and sat next to their father, Louisville coach Rick Pitino. The photos of them went viral. The hockey dress-up gag began with volleyballs Oct. 29 match against Penn State. Senior defenseman Kelsey Cline said everyone already had their Halloween costumes, so as a goof they decided to wear them to the match. We said, What the heck? Cline said. The Gophers won in straight setts before a raucous crowd of 5,391.ddddddddddddAfter the match we went over to the volleyball girls house, Cline said. They told us how much they loved it and how much it helped them. They said, Youve got to come to the rest of our home games.Conflicting schedules prevented that until Nov. 23, the night before Thanksgiving, when Minnesota faced top-ranked and reigning national champion Nebraska. Hockey coach Brad Frost keeps a stash of costumes in his office for an annual Halloween-themed practice, and the players raided the closet before heading over. Cline dressed as a penguin and Pannek a leprechaun. An even bigger sellout of 5,401 saw Minnesota drop the first two sets and trail 23-20 in the third before rallying to win, 28-26, 25-17, 17-15. The Big Ten Network televised the match and featured the players in crowd shots. It was something funny to do, like high school days, having a theme for the football game, Pannek said. We were just doing something a little bit different and standing out.The atmosphere at the Pav, a converted hockey arena, rocks. Thats not a recent development. Minnesota ranked among the top 10 in NCAA attendance in the final decade of former coach Mike Herberts 15 seasons (he retired in 2010), and the Pav attendance record of 5,840 dates to 1999.But the next four largest crowds all happened since McCutcheon, the two-time U.S. Olympic coach, arrived in 2012. This season, only Nebraska (8,199), Hawaii (6,579) and Wisconsin (5,915) topped the Gophers (4,766) in average home attendance.Because NCAA tournament regulations prohibit the host team from egging on their crowd, the customary public address call-and-response to Minnesota points -- Point U! -- is out for postseason play. But last Saturday night, by the end of Minnesotas three-set victory over Hawaii, some in the crowd yelled Point U! without prompting. Its loud, and the fans are supercrazy, Rainbow Wahine senior middle hitter Annie Mitchem said. It was hard to come back after we were down.McCutcheon appreciates the assist. If people are feeling connected to what were doing, thats great, he said. The reason for that would be, our athletes are authentic. They work hard. Theyre out there competing. Theyre trying to win the next point. And we happen to play in the best league in the country. If you like volleyball, its probably pretty good to watch. Theres no pretense to it.Or with their fans, even if they dont always come as they are. ' ' '
