Per NFL insider Ian Rapoport:It was previously unclear if Wentz would be limited in practice. Back in April, Wentz indicated he was still recovering from the fractured vertebrae that ended his 2018 season in December. Then Doug Pederson was noncommittal about Wentz’s status when speaking at rookie minicamp two weeks ago. It’s encouraging to hear Wentz is healthy considering his immense importance to the Eagles’ overall success. The team is only going to go as far as he takes them.Wentz having a full offseason to get ready for 2019 bodes well for his outlook. He wasn’t able to fully prepare for the 2018 season since he was coming off the ACL injury he suffered in December 2017. The hope is that Wentz will be able to recapture his near-MVP form.Wentz’s health also bodes well for his contract situation. There’s belief the Eagles will sign Wentz to a long-term extension before the 2019 season begins. Bleeding Green Nation will have full coverage of how Wentz (and the rest of his Eagles teammates) looks in our practice notes tomorrow. Wentz will also have a press conference at some point after Tuesday’s practice. He’s everything you want in a franchise quarterback. To be able to plan ahead and know exactly that he’s going to be with us and build the roster in just the way we want to do it, it means everything. It allows you to make smart decisions. We always wanted a terrific quarterback and a terrific person and he embodies it in every way.” The 10 worst contracts in the NFC East - PhillyVoice2) Eli Manning, Giants: Over the last six seasons, Eli Manning has a record of 38-57 in 95 starts, and was one-and-done the one year during that span in which the Giants made the playoffs. He was never a great quarterback, but at one time he was at least a top-half-of-the-league starter, with two improbable Super Bowl runs under his belt.[...] The Giants could have released Manning this offseason and saved $17 million on the salary cap Black Derek Barnett Jerseys , but instead opted to pay him a $5 million roster bonus, thus guaranteeing his roster spot. I’m not sure if the Giants actually believe themselves when they say he’s still a good quarterback, or if it’s just an irrational loyalty they feel they owe him, but whatever it is, his $23,200,000 on the 2019 salary cap is an awful use a resources for a team that is going nowhere.Carson Wentz’s Career Timeline - PE.comCheck out the best photos from Carson Wentz’s career from draft day until now.The NFL’s balanced offensive linemen by PFF Grade from 2018 - PFFJason Kelce, Philadelphia Eagles. Jason Kelce may very well be the best all-around offensive linemen in the NFL, and his 2018 season further proved that point. The nine-year veteran paced all centers with an 84.9 overall grade through the regular season — the third-highest mark of his storied Philadelphia career. Kelce also led all centers in run-blocking grade at 82.9 — with a 14.82% run-blocking success rate — while adding a career-high 87.7 grade in pass protection this season that ranked second to only Oakland’s Rodney Hudson (90.8).Evaluation Of The 2015 Rookie Classes - Over The Cap3. Philadelphia Eagles (5.667) — 2 players with vested veteran contracts (1 pending). This was the year where Chip Kelly had temporarily wrested power from Howie Roseman with player personnel, and it did not end well for Kelly. Nelson Agholor and Jordan Hicks were the only two players from this rookie class that lasted more than one season in Philadelphia. How AAF restored Charles Johnson’s love of football Sidney Jones Jerseys 2019 , led him back to NFL with Eagles - NBCSPAs soon as his age was brought up, Johnson grinned and proudly declared he’s not old. In the real world, that’s true. He’s just 30, hopefully plenty of time left on Earth. But how much time does he have left playing football? Johnson is the second-oldest receiver on the Eagles’ roster behind only DeSean Jackson at 32.But Johnson hasn’t looked old at OTAs this spring. He was in great shape coming from the AAF and it has shown. His wealth of experience compared to his younger competition has been apparent this spring too. With some guys missing time, Johnson has gotten reps with the first team on several occasions at OTAs. “In the NFL, the age is always going to be something everybody looks at,” he said. “I just don’t even focus on that. I still feel young, I still feel like I can go out there and compete against anybody. They can line me up against a 21-year-old and I can guarantee you he’s not going to beat me in a race, he’s not going to be more explosive than me. That’s just my mindset.”The Bears have to get over the Eagles’ hump - Windy City GridironThe savvy Bears get their chance for revenge against a likely far better, and healthier Avonte Maddox Jerseys 2019 , Eagles team when they visit Lincoln Financial Field this November. While they’re still obviously feeling the effects of bitter defeat, a road rematch against the team that acted as the metaphorical final straw is the ideal antidote. A win over the Eagles would give the Bears a chance to bury the demons burrowing inside their collective mental psyche, and charge ahead toward the stretch run of a season carrying burdening expectations. The Bears say they’re ready for what 2019 presents, but it’s a different story once they have to confront their past. Everyone’s ready until they get punched in the mouth, as one football tough guy once said. How new GM Joe Douglas can reverse Jets’ most troubling trends - ESPNWatch the early strike. Douglas spent the past three years with the Philadelphia Eagles, one of the most proactive teams when it comes to locking up their own players before they hit free agency. The most recent example: quarterback Carson Wentz, who received a four-year extension even though he had two years remaining on his rookie deal. Because of this approach, the Eagles have no fewer than a dozen key players under contract through 2021. The Jets have been lagging in this area. The philosophy will be put to the test early with decisions on wide receiver Robby Anderson and defensive lineman Leonard Williams, both of whom will be free agents after the season. Douglas doesn’t have to worry about quarterback Sam Darnold until 2021 at the earliest. On Saturday, Darnold said he’s not thinking about his contract Black Dallas Goedert Jerseys , saying, “If I play well -- if we win games, most importantly -- the future is bright for the organization. That’s all I care about.”Todd McShay another rumored Jets front office candidate - Gang Green NationNames are emerging as possibilities in Joe Douglas’ front office with the Jets. A big one who could be on the radar is ESPN’s Todd McShay.AFC South Offseason Reports: The Colts Are Positioned for Power - MMQBBiggest question heading into the regular season: What is Nick Foles outside of the Eagles’ offense? This is not to slight Foles in any way, but think back to his best seasons, with both Chip Kelly and Doug Pederson. In each case, the system was a step ahead of the NFL, which is a major leg up for an accurate quarterback who can run an offense. Jacksonville is more of a ball-control attack without the same caliber of receiver.Who did your favorite NFL team sadly never get revenge on? - SB NationThe NFL is loaded with great stories of comeuppance. Steve Smith delivered “blood and guts” to the Panthers’ doorstep as a member of the Ravens after being cut by Carolina in 2014. Brett Favre’s first game in Green Bay as a Viking saw him throw four touchdown passes in a key divisional victory. Even the mid-2010s Patriots — underdog to exactly zero people outside their own locker room — overcame Roger Goodell’s Deflategate ruling to win the greatest Super Bowl of all time (title vacated if you’re a Falcons fan. Also, I’m sorry). But what about the teams that never got their revenge? Who are the ones that were left walled up in the NFL’s catacombs waiting for their chance to be Montresor?...Social Media Information:BGN Facebook Page: Click here to like our pageBGN Twitter: Follow @BleedingGreenBGN Manager: Brandon Lee Gowton: Follow @BrandonGowtonBGN Radio Twitter: Follow @BGN_Radio
