They dont race on dirt anywhere else. So the show is so different than any other race on the NASCAR circuit, and thats what makes it an event to watch.?You know its a good event when people thought it was a great race and it only had two leaders and was won by a Sprint Cup driver.?In some ways, there is no reason this should be a good race. Compared to sprint cars half the weight or dirt late models with suspensions specifically built to race on dirt, the NASCAR trucks plod around the speedway.?But for a driver such as Kyle Larson, there is still a fun factor and a challenge factor. After coming close but not winning two years ago, Larson considered the win Wednesday night a big accomplishment.?These trucks arent designed to race on dirt, Larson said. But it also makes them a lot of fun. This place has a lot of character with bumps and moisture in different spots -- it makes a driver really work hard to find those parts of the race track to pick up [speed].?Rico Abreu ran a 12.7-second lap in a sprint car at Eldora last year. On Wednesday, he qualified with a lap of 21.19 seconds.?And yet he loved it, loved the 150-mile, 2-hour affair that could be considered brutal for a dirt-track race.
