For those of us who enjoy all brands of football, Wednesday was a big day. The NFL season ended in February. Since then, weve been waiting for the first look at the Toronto Argonauts at minicamp to get our football fix and on Wednesday, we got our chance. Tuesdays heavy rain moved practice from Erindale to Thomas Aquinas Secondary School in Oakville. Rookies and QBs reported, though there were some familiar faces among the so-called newcomers. DB Jalil Carter, who started at corner in last years Grey Cup win, joined DL Donte Paige-Moss and WR Quincy Hurst as returnees who were eligible to practice due to their limited game action a year ago. There were five QBs in red shirts on Wednesday. Veterans Ricky Ray, Trevor Harris and Zach Collaros were joined by newcomer Mitchell Gale and Burlington native Will Finch from Western -- this years CIS QB. Finch went to the Ticats camp last year, giving him two pro camps before his 20th birthday. Most eyes were trained on a couple of wide receivers, with NFL lineage who were both top ten picks in their draft year. Mike Williams was the tenth pick of the Detroit Lions in 2005, Reggie Williams was the ninth pick in the draft the year before, going to Jacksonville. Both have height (Reggie is 64, Mike is an inch taller) and good hands, and they each look to be in good shape. It appeared, at one point, that Mike Williams may have tweaked something in his leg after being pressed in a drill. After taking a knee for a bit of a break, he finished the practice without missing a snap. If one or both Williams make the club, it will add much needed size to the receiving corps. There were no contact drills at all on Day One. One way that a rookie can catch the eye of the coaching staff is by standing out on special teams. Perhaps the most interesting thing on the first day of any CFL camp is watching the American rookies try to get used to the no yards rule. Special Teams Coordinator Mike OShea ran some drills on Wednesday and it was evident not every player read the rule book before heading north. Thursday its back to Erindale for a 2:15pm ET practice. Malik Beasley Jersey . You can watch the game live on TSN at 7:30pm et/4:30pm pt. The Flyers had won seven of eight before dropping their last two outings on consecutive days over the weekend. Philadelphia was handed a 6-3 loss by the visiting Tampa Bay Lightning on Saturday afternoon before dropping a 4-1 decision to the Rangers the following night in New York City. Paul Millsap Jersey .7 million, one-year contract, a raise of $2.2 million. Wieters had asked for $8.75 million and the Orioles had offered $6. http://www.nuggetsprostore.com/kids-dikembe-mutombo-nuggets-jersey/ . Howard Ganz, an MLB lawyer, said in a letter to U.S. District Judge Edgardo Ramos that Rodriguezs claims do not come "remotely close" to what is needed to overturn an arbitration decision in federal court. Will Barton Jersey . Olli Jokinen, Mark Scheifele, and Bryan Little each had a goal and an assist as Winnipeg won 5-2, handing Calgary its record-setting seventh consecutive loss on home ice. Kenneth Faried Jersey . Thats about all he can do right now, so hes trying not to think about when he might be able to play again for the Los Angeles Lakers. PITTSBURGH -- Pittsburgh Steelers cornerback Justin Gilbert welcomes the opportunity for a fresh start. The Steelers traded their 2018 sixth-round draft pick to Cleveland on Saturday for Gilbert, an embattled yet talented 2014 top-10 draft pick, who struggled with off-field issues and could never live up to his pre-draft hype with the Browns.Gilbert is aware of his perception and wants to change it in Pittsburgh.Im excited for this new opportunity, Gilbert said. Words cant even explain how excited I am right now. Everybodys welcoming me with open arms. Im just grateful.Gilbert, the eighth overall pick in 2014, practiced in Pittsburgh for the first time Monday. The 6-foot, 202-pound Gilbert appeared in 23 games with Cleveland, making three starts in two seasons, with 39 tackles and one interception.Concerns about his behavior off the field didnt help matters. He was suspended by the team for the final game of his rookie season, was involved in a September 2015 road rage incident, and admittedly missed team meetings. Gilbert insists those days are gone.Theres a lot of things that can distract you when you come in fresh out of college, Gilbert said. After a year in the league and not getting done what I wanted to get done, its kind of changed me.Gilbert, who missed the Browns third preseason game with a concussion, doesnt think the lofty expectations of being a top-10 pick were too much to handle. He cited a lack of consistency as the reason things didnt work in Cleveland.Gilbert believes the locker room leadership in Pittsburgh will help his development. These guys know what it takes to win a championship, Gilbert said. You have quality leaders on offense and defense. So Im just coming in, looking up to those guys and following their lead for now.dddddddddddd.This is the second straight year Pittsburgh traded a draft pick in an attempt to improve its secondary. Last season, the Steelers sent a fifth-rounder to Philadelphia for cornerback Brandon Boykin, who is no longer with the team. The Steelers drafted Artie Burns No. 25 overall in April, the first time the team took a cornerback in the opening round since Chad Scott in 1997.Veteran William Gay and third-year cornerback Ross Cockrell are the starters, at least for now). Rookie Sean Davis is the first-team slot cornerback. Senquez Golson, the Steelers 2015 second-round pick, suffered a Lisfranc foot injury early in training camp that will keep him out long term. The team cut 2015 fourth-round pick Doran Grant on Saturday.Gilbert said he isnt concerned with playing time. He just wants to finish the year with the Steelers. If Im playing good, Ill be out there. If not, I probably wont be, Gilbert said. Hopefully, Ill be out there. The Steelers hope a change of scenery can help Gilbert realize his potential. All I know is what I can do and what Im going to do for this franchise, just going out and proving it every day, Gilbert said. I dont really want to talk about it so much, but just show it with my actions on the field and my play.Game notes The Steelers chose their team captains for the 2016 season. QB Ben Roethlisberger is the offensive captain, while Gay and DE Cam Heyward are the defensive captains. Safety Robert Golden is special teams captain.---AP NFL website: www.pro32.ap.org and www.twitter.com/AP-NFLCheap Soccer Jerseys AuthenticWholesale Hockey JerseysNike NFL Jerseys ChinaCheap Nike MLB Jerseys ChinaWholesale Baseball Jerseys ChinaWholesale College JerseysCheap Jerseys From ChinaWholesale Jerseys Near MeCheap Jerseys OnlineCheap NFL Jerseys AuthenticCheap Nike NFL Jerseys AuthenticCheap Soccer Jerseys ChinaCheap NCAA Jerseys AuthenticCheap Nike NBA JerseysCheap NHL Jerseys AuthenticMLB Jerseys ChinaCheap Jerseys From ChinaCheap NFL Throwback JerseysCheap Nike NFL JerseysCheap NFL Jerseys China ' ' '
