Argos head coach Scott Milanovich said Wednesday rookie Anthony Coombs suffered a torn labrum in Torontos 31-5 road win over Montreal on Friday night. Coombs was in the starting lineup replacing veteran Canadian slotback Andre Durie, who is out with a broken clavicle. Coombs, a 21-year-old Winnipeg native, will undergo further evaluation to determine if he requires surgery. Should Coombs have to go under the knife, hed likely be done for the remainder of the season. If not, hell still require time on the injured list but could return later in the campaign.
