A former Ohio State and Chicago Bears offensive lineman has been charged with felony assault of a police officer.

Charges against 33-year-old Kirk Barton were filed after his arrest outside the Bogey Bar & Grill in Dublin Patrick Mahomes II Jersey , Ohio.

Police say the 6-foot-6 Barton was at the bar Friday when management asked deputies to remove him because he was intoxicated and knocking people over.

The Delaware County Sheriff's office says Barton was escorted to a taxi van without incident but couldn't provide his address. Deputies and the taxi driver were trying to determine the address when Barton allegedly slammed the van's sliding door on a deputy's arm.

Barton's attorney, Sam Shamansky, said Tuesday he hadn't reviewed all the evidence and didn't know how the case will proceed. He also expressed concern for the injured deputy.


The Cowboys had hoped to bring back defensive lineman Brian Price Ed Dickson Jersey , who they waived Sunday, but the Raiders spoiled their plan.

Oakland claimed Price off waivers, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports. The Raiders waived defensive tackle Treyvon Hester Paul Krause Jersey , a seventh-round pick in 2017, in a corresponding move.

The Cowboys had planned to move defensive lineman Datone Jones to injured reserve, replacing him with Price.

Price William Hayes Jersey , 24, signed with the Packers as an undrafted free agent in 2016. He was on and off their roster and practice squad as a rookie, playing one game.

He joined the Cowboys as a waiver claim after the Packers cut him out of the preseason. Price played in eight games before going on injured reserve last season Will Lutz Jersey , seeing no snaps on defense and 19 on special teams.
