SALT LAKE CITY -- Few NBA teams are racking up frequent flyer miles faster than the Houston Rockets. Houston has taken the idea of being road warriors to insane levels early in the season. When the Rockets square off against the Utah Jazz on Tuesday night, it will mark the 12th road game in the teams first 18 games. Houston (11-6) has experienced plenty of success away from its home arena. The Rockets have posted seven wins in 11 road games so far and have averaged 110.8 points per game in those contests. Only two teams -- Detroit and Atlanta -- have held Houston under 100 points. The latest road victory, a 130-114 triumph over Portland, may have been the most impressive yet for Houstons offense. The Rockets shot 56.1 percent from the field overall and scorched the nets from the perimeter, burying 47.2 percent (17 for 36) of their attempts from 3-point range.Weve been tested, and guys are playing well, James Harden said following Sundays win over Portland. Our system, our team, the coaching staff -- the entire group is really good right now. Guys have bought in, and we all have one goal.Harden, in particular, has thrived in coach Mike DAntonis run-and-gun system. Harden exploded for 38 points and 10 assists against the Blazers. The veteran guard is averaging 28.9 points and a career-high 12.2 assists this season. He leads the league in assists and is dishing out nearly five more assists per game than his previous career high of 7.5 assists a season ago.Utah is poised to offer a stiff test to Harden and Houstons high-flying defense. The Jazz (10-8) have won two straight home games since point guard George Hill returned from a thumb injury. They allowed just 75.5 points per game in those victories over Denver and Atlanta and won by an average margin of 26 points.Getting into an offensive slugfest isnt a problem for Utah either. The Jazz have won three straight while scoring 105 points per game. Gordon Hayward and Hill have formed a dynamic one-two scoring punch over that span.Hill is averaging 23.0 points per game over the last three games since returning to the lineup. Hayward is averaging 23.3 points in that same stretch. Their leadership has been a difference maker in rallying Utah from a tough stretch where it lost four straight games while Hill was sidelined.I think its maturity, Utah coach Quin Snyder said after the teams 112-103 win over Minnesota on Monday night. Theres some guys out there that didnt get rattled. George Hill, tonight, didnt play well the first half and really dug his way out of it, and ended up playing a very, very good game.Utah and Houston have faced each other once already this season. The Rockets cruised to a 111-102 victory over the Jazz on Nov. 19 behind 31 points, 10 assists and zero turnovers from Harden. Air Max 97 Cr7 Rouge . As the crowd erupted, Davis knocked the ball off the glass and back into his hands. With 1:14 to go in overtime, Davis sixth block also became his 17th rebound. The NFL is investigating the New York Giants use of a handheld, two-way radio in the fourth quarter of Sunday nights 10-7 victory over the Dallas Cowboys, a source told ESPNs Todd Archer, confirming a report by the New York Post.Coach Ben McAdoo was seen using a walkie-talkie to relay plays to quarterback Eli Manning when the Giants were having problems with their headsets early in the fourth quarter. Coaches are not allowed to hold any two-way radios during a game.Another source told ESPN the Cowboys have not filed a formal complaint with the league, but that the NFL had already begun its own investigation of the Giants use of handheld, two-way radios.Stephen Jones, the Cowboys chief operating officer and executive vice president/director of player personnel, wouldnt confirm Thursday that his team has contacted the NFL.We dont comment on things like that, he said, referring to whether they called the NFL, but its obvious to everybody what happened, and my understanding is its being looked into and handled.Jones said the team believes the use of the walkie-talkies did not play a part in the outcome of the game. The rule is in place because walkie-talkies provide nonstop access to the quarterbacks headset and cannot be cut off by the leagues cutoff switch operator. League rules state that communication between the quarterback and the sideline must be ccut off when 15 seconds remain on the play clock.dddddddddddd.A backup quarterback is allowed to hold a two-way radio, but hes not permitted to speak into it.The Giants declined to comment Thursday.Wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. and Manning were seen running to the sideline to get the plays on a drive in the fourth Sunday night against the Cowboys. The Giants did not score on the drive.I just wasnt getting anything, so I had to run to the sideline to get the plays, Manning told the Post. Four plays maybe, we dont have signals for stuff. It happened to be all run plays. If its pass plays, [backup quarterback Ryan] Nassib or somebody could signal them to me. I had to run to the sideline, sometimes he was giving it to Odell [Beckham Jr.] right there, and Odell would run to me and get the play in. Like high school. It wasnt long before McAdoo resumed communication with Manning.I dont know when he was on the walkie-talkie or not, Manning said. I just knew it was back in my ear, and we were going.McAdoo is in his first year as an NFL head coach. He spent two seasons as the Giants offensive coordinator after eight seasons as an assistant with the Green Bay Packers.ESPNs Todd Archer and Josina Anderson contributed to this report.
